Can cats really hear ultrasound?

Yes. Utrasound is a sound pressure wave (> 20 kHz) whose frequency is greater than the limits of human hearing, which is why we can't hear them. Many animals, such as bats and dolphins, often use ultrasound to navigate their environment.

Cats can hear ultrasonic frequencies from 45 to 65 kHz. This ability may be an evolutionary adaptation that allows them to capture prey that emits high-frequency sounds, such as mice, bats, and other rodents.

Medsinglong company has many kinds of ultrasound for vet. Tell us your need, we will find the one that meet your demand. Our ultrasonic machines can scan your pet's body more fully using non-invasive techniques. It allows us to find enlarged organs or bumps that are not easily accessible during a medical examination. We can also use ultrasound to obtain fluids and/or cells from patients for further analysis.
