How does ultrasonic cleaning work?

Ultrasonic energy causes the rapid formation and collapse of small bubbles in liquids; it is called cavitation. Bubbles generated by huge energy bursts increase rapidly until they burst on the surface of the object.

Energy conversion by transducer
The transducer of the key part of the ultrasonic cleaner can promote the conversion of ultrasonic energy. The electrical energy is converted by the transducer into high frequency sound waves called ultrasonic energy.

The efficiency of the sensor determines the time required for cleaning and the cleanliness of the surface. Poor quality sensors consume more power and increase the length of the cleaning cycle.

Other variables that affect ultrasonic cleaning efficiency include power, heat, capacity, detergent, and cleaning cycle length.

Transducer type
There are two types of sensors: magnetostrictive and piezoelectric.
Magnetostrictive sensors work on the principle that iron-rich metals expand and contract when placed in a magnetic field. It is this expansion and contraction that causes the can in the device to resonate and generate ultrasonic waves.
Piezoelectric sensors use crystals with electrical properties. When current passes through them, the crystal changes shape and then returns to its original shape when the system is turned off. The resulting vibrations generate waves that generate ultrasonic energy.

Ultrasonic cleaning application
Ultrasonic cleaners can also be customized to suit the specific needs of the factory, hospital or other company. With thousands of commercial and industrial cleaning applications, ultrasonic cleaning is widely used in many industries. Ultrasonic cleaners are tailored to the type of parts they are cleaning. For example, desktop and desktop cleaners are best suited for cleaning small or consumable parts such as bearings, surgical instruments, optical parts, machined parts, small gears, and carburetor parts. Precision cleaning is used to clean and restore delicate items that may have been damaged by traditional cleaning methods.

The benefits of ultrasonic cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning saves time and money:
Up to 20 parts can be cleaned at a time
Easy to use technology requires only one operator
Due to gentle cleaning, longer component life
Efficient cleaning means that all pollutants are cleared in the first round
